Blending Art, Design, and Storytelling for Everyday Adventures

My foundation in design is rooted in finding inspiration in the world around us—like the significance of a simple stone. In the world of roam·n·gnome, stones hold special meaning. They’re more than obstacles—they’re tools and guides, symbols of resilience and growth. Like roots wrapping around rocks, challenges shape us, grounding us as we grow taller and stronger. The stones remind us that life isn’t about avoiding challenges but embracing them as essential parts of the journey.

I believe design should connect art and storytelling in a way that’s not only beautiful but also practical—something you can use. Every piece I create is designed to inspire growth, spark imagination, and add meaning to your everyday adventures. Because in the end, it’s not just about the destination—it’s about the journey and how you make it yours.

I slowed down my work in 2023–2024, focusing on earning my Master’s in Organizational Psychology, which in many ways has given me a fresh perspective on design, system-thinking, and our sense of belonging. Stay tuned for more design products in the roam·n·gnome realm!

It all started with an idea.

My first product design began with the Guiding Stone Collection in late 2021, but the idea had been with me long before that. Inspired by my work with young adults and students overcoming challenges like autism or other learning differences, I wanted to design a product that blended art, storytelling, and functionality—a tool to help navigate challenges of any size, from daily tasks to long-term goals.

The Guiding Stones were brought to life—from concept to finished product, including packaging—to help people visually track their goals, progress, and values. Each stone represents a step forward, a piece of the process, or a challenge transformed into growth. Together, they form a functional, personal roadmap for life’s everyday adventures.
